APPLICATION for PIHRA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 2008
The PIHRA Foundation awards annual scholarships from $500 up to $2500 to support (1) HR students, (2) PIHRA members, and (3) children of PIHRA members. This form is intended for use in applying for any one of these scholarships. We urge you to follow the instructions carefully and to have your application and supporting documentationpostmarked no later than November 1st to:

Scholarship payment may be made directly to the appropriate organization (school, SHRM) on your behalf for a scholarship award.
1. The PIHRA Foundation HR Student Scholarship provides grants of $2,500 to an
individual who meets the eligibility requirements and is pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources Management or MBA.
2. The PIHRA Foundation HRCI Certification Scholarship provides grants of $500
to a PIHRA member who meets the eligibility requirements and is seeking
certification as a PHR or as a SPHR or to a PIHRA student chapter member seeking PHR certification within the time period after graduation, as provided by SHRM.
3. The PIHRA Foundation Sons & Daughters Student Scholarship provides a grant
of $1,500 to a PIHRA member’s child, who meets the eligibility requirements.
Foundation Board members interview all finalists. Scholarship selections are announced at a PIHRA function soon after the selection
process, typically in December. Applicants will be notified of their standing by phone or in writing no later than December 31.
